Directions: Sift
together salt, soda and baking powder with flour. Take out about 1/4 of flour
mixture.
Mix flour mixture and shortening with a large fork until it's almost like meal.
Add milk and mix well.
On board, sprinkle flour and add dough. Work the extra 1/4 flour mixture into
dough so it will be smooth and easy to roll out. Cut into small biscuit-size sections.
Bake at 450 degrees for 10 to 12 min.
If you have time, it's good to chill dough before cooking. If not, it will be
okay anyway. If you don't use all the dough, it will keep for a couple of days.
Prep Time: 25 minutes
Cooking Time: 12 minutes.
Serving Suggestions:
Great for breakfast with homemade jelly, or for dinner with Grandma's Southern
Fried Chicken and gravy.
