Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1 frying chicken, cut
up
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 8 potatoes, quartered
and boiled
- 3 whole cloves

Directions:
Season chicken with salt
and pepper and flour. Fry in covered pan, 7 minutes on each side. Do not open
lid except when turning. Drain oil and add cooked potatoes. Pour water from potatoes
over chicken and potatoes. Add cloves, cover again and simmer. Makes its own gravy,
so simmer until gravy is ready.
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 30 minutes
Serving Suggestions:
Good with Spaetzel dumplings.
