Ingredients:
4 eggs
1/2 cup of corn starch
6 cups of milk
1 cup sugar
Pinch of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2stick of butter

Directions: Combine
eggs, cornstarch and 1 cup of milk in a small bowl. Whip briskly with a wire whisk.
In a large pot, combine
the milk, sugar and salt. Occasionally stirring, bring mixture to a boil.
Add the eggs and cornstarch into the boiling mixture. Keep burner on high
and stir vigorously until the mixture thickens.
Stir in the vanilla and
butter. Place the custard into a cool pan or container and refrigerate until thoroughly
cool (usually about two hours).
Place in serving bowls
or tarts and serve.
