This is an easy ornament to make with the kids.

Materials:

• Empty toilet paper roll
• Scrap of wrapping paper
• Scraps of curly ribbons
• Stapler
• Small piece of tape
• White glue
• Scissors
• 2 table spoons rice
• Glitter

  Directions:

Cut a piece of wrapping paper to cover toilet paper roll. Glue wrapping paper to toilet paper roll. Let dry. Trim edges. Tape one end of each of the ribbons to the inside of toilet paper roll. Staple this side shut, do not leave spaces between staples. Put two tablespoons of rice inside. Staple shut, do not leave spaces between staples. Curl ends of ribbons carefully so not to pull ribbons out. With white glue write name or designs and cover with glitter. Carefully shake off extra glitter and let dry.
