How to Play
Try to move all the disks onto another pole. The trick is you can only move
one disk at a time and you must follow size order (a bigger disk can't go on a
smaller disk). Good luck!
Note: Change the number of disks to make the game easier or more difficult.

Where
did this game come from?
The "Towers of Hanoi", also known as the "Towers of Annoy" (you'll find out why
after you play for awhile), was invented by French mathematician Edouard Lucas
in 1883. According to Lucas, there is a temple in Hanoi (the capital of Vietnam)
where there are monks dedicated to solving the problem of 64 rings and 3 poles!
Their objective is to move the rings (one at a time) from the left most pole to
the right most pole without placing a bigger ring on top of a smaller ring. It
is said that when the monks have completed their task, the world will end. This
version lets you choose from three to seven rings. |
