I'm having almost the same problem. I have a 2 yr old boy who has stopped sleeping in his crib. I've taken the mattress out and put it down on the floor in his room. He will go to sleep with me there next to him, but he's getting up in the middle of the night and sleeping out in fron of our bedroom with his pillow and sleep buddies. I have not gone to get the big boy bed yet. I'm wondering if that might be what he's asking for. We just had long Christmas Holiday and this started around Thanksgiving time. I'm wondering if maybe he's looking for all the attention time he got over the holidays? One thing is, he's not trying to crawl in bed with us. Any answers out there.
